Secretariat d’Entitats de Sants Hostafrancs i la Bordeta, Catalunya Chess Club, La Cadena Chess Club, Comtal Chess Club and Barcelona City Hall, are the organizer of XI International Chess Open of Sants, Hostafrancs and Bordeta, for players with federative license.

This tournament is valid for Catalan, Spanish and FIDE ratings.  This Tournament is the last valid for the Grand Prix de Catalunya (Group A espezial).

In this tenth edition, and as principal innovation with regard to past editions, the Open de Sants, acoje the tilt AJEDREZND, tilt of active chess that will be celebrated on the 22rd and 23th of August, in schedule of tomorrow, in the Audience of the Cotxeres de Sants.

The participation in the above mentioned tilt is independent from the participation in the Open, though the new recruits in the Open will have a discount in the inscription. 


We emphasize also the increase of the quantity of the prizes of the general of the group A & B, with regard to the past edition.
